Arkansas - Effective immediately
the Arkansas DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles)
requires a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
inspection for used vehicles being brought
into the state. A certified law enforcement
officer of any city or county in Arkansas,
the Arkansas State Police, or a designee
of the Arkansas State Police may conduct
the inspection.
Connecticut - Effective
October 31, 2003, Connecticut began issuing
a new Apportioned Registration Cab Card.
California
- As mandated by Executive Order S1-03,
and signed by Governor Schwarzenegger
on November 17, 2003 the reinstatement
of the full California Vehicle License
Fee (VLF), effective October 1, 2003 has
been rescinded.
The effective date of the VLF is November
17, 2003. Customers who paid the full
amount will automatically receive a refund
by mail beginning in early 2004. If the
due date on your vehicle registration
renewal is on or after January 31, 2004
the fees are correct. For more information,

- There are only two ways to obtain “Title
Only” in California - if you are
registering IRP (International Registration
Plan) or if you already have a current
California registration.
- Effective January 1, 2004, the IRP
California fees will change. For any vehicle
with an expiration date of 12/31/03 or
before, the new fees will not apply until
the next renewal period. Contact Joan

Kentucky - A VIN Inspection
is not required for leased vehicles when
the leasing company has the vehicle registered
under the Kentucky-U-Drive-It Plan.
Wisconsin
- Effective immediately, title fees are
$35.00 and passenger license plate fees
are $55.00.
- Effective immediately, pick-ups must
obtain truck plates and provide the GVW
(gross vehicle weight).
