Upcoming 2003 Annual
Reports Reflect Delaware’s Increase
in Corporate Taxes and Filing Fees
As a reminder to customers who are responsible
for Delaware Annual Report and Franchise
Tax Payments:
On June 19, 2003, Governor Minner signed
House Bills 267 and 268 amending Titles
6, 8, 12, and 29 of the Delaware Code to
increase overall taxes and fees paid by
corporations and other business entities
by 17%. All tax changes are effective as
of January 1, 2003, and all other fee changes
were effective beginning August 1, 2003.

Corporation Service Company® (CSC)
has made it easy for you to access the full
text of each Delaware House Bill. Simply
go to www.statenet.com,
and click on the link for Statenet Subscriber
Services. Log in to the Website using the
login "billtext," and the password
"text." Click on Legislation,
and then Search by Bill Number. Enter the
entire bill number, without spaces (e.g.,
DEH267 and DEH268), and click on Run Search.
The bill status will appear. Select the
underlined Bill Number on the left side
of the screen to review the full text of
the bill. When you are finished reviewing
the bill status and bill text, please click
on the Sign Out icon in the upper right
corner of the screen to end your session.

Illinois Fees Increase as of December 1,
2003
Under Senate Bills 1506 and 1903, Illinois
Corporate and Limited Liability Company
(LLC) fees increased as of December 1, 2003.

Maryland Annual Report
Fees Increase as of January 1, 2004
The Maryland annual report fee will increase
to $300.00 effective January 1, 2004. This
fee affects Stock Corporations, Limited
Liability Companies, Limited Partnerships,
Limited Liability Partnerships, Real Estate
Investment Trusts, Banks, Savings &
Loans, Credit Unions, and Financial Institutions.
The increase is effective for any return,
regardless of year, filed after December
31, 2003. There is no fee for Non-Stock
Corporations, Business Trusts, Churches,
Interstate Companies, Foreign Insurance
Companies, Sole Proprietorships, and General
Partnerships.
