Arkansas Increases Corporate Franchise
Tax
The governor of Arkansas signed
Senate Bill 80 on February 10, 2004, increasing
the minimum corporate annual franchise tax
from $50 to $150. The increased franchise
tax is effective for calendar years beginning
January 1, 2004 and should be sent with
a franchise tax report on or before May
1. Please note the due date change. In previous
years, including 2003, the franchise taxes
were payable by June 1.

Delaware 2003 Tax Notices for LLCs
and LPs Reflect Tax Increase
As a reminder to customers who are responsible
for Delaware Annual Report and Franchise
Tax Payments:
On June 19, 2003, Governor Minner
signed House Bills 267 and 268 amending
Titles 6, 8, 12 and 29 of the Delaware Code
to increase overall taxes and fees paid
by corporations and other business entities
by 17%. All tax changes are effective
as of January 1, 2003 and all other fee
changes were effective beginning August
